The best estate agent ever always on top of there game can't do enough for you
Nice people to do business with
I notice that my previous, entirely factual and accurate, 1 star review has been removed - I'm assuming at request of Miles & Barr. This took a long time, in typical Miles & Barr fashion, but I'm impressed they did it at all.My wife and I lost out on the house of our dreams because of the utter incompetence of the staff here. We called and called about the property but never managed to arrange a viewing. The people at the property went with a different estate agent and their description of Miles & Barr was they 'never found anybody to see the house.' Even when we called several times and spoke to a few different. The other estate agent - I figure it best to not name them - did an open house and they ended up selling to a development company who could make the asking price appear quicker than us.Every experience I had dealing with them was bad. On another occasions, they arranged a viewing for a house, then changed the date, then changed it again. Eventually, when I called to query the changes, they admitted the house had already sold. Why keep messing us about with appointment dates when the house was no longer available.I hope this review stays. My terrible experience with this company was so bad that I feel the need to ensure my one star rating is always available for public view.
They are con artists when it comes to what fees they charge you in the process of applying for a property - read the small print carefully! Ill elaborate if necessary. Also note that you cannot leave a review on their Facebook page....
They maybe a big company and have a large number of property's but avoid them..I recently purchased a property thought them and it was a nightmear, I put an original offer of 163k to them but before they would even take it to the customer I had to show my offer of mortgage and other documents to them, then they contacted my estate agent to see what was happening with my sale. After all this they phoned the seller and gave them the offer but then said not to accept it as I hadn't sold my flat yet even though they could accept the offer and I had already had a large number of viewings at the flat.Once I had my flat under offer I went back and offered 160k - so they cost there seller 3k, and finally we started to move. The manager was rude to me and threatened not to deal with me as I was blunt with him and challenged them over why they gave the advise of rejecting my offer - to which they had no answer for. There sales expoditer who should have all the information about the sale called twice over the 16 week process and both time had out of date information and not correct.I feel that they are to big for their boots, they feel that as they are a big company the customers (both buying and selling) are 2nd to them where customers should come first.I know the above as fact as I had a good open relationship with the seller - which they didn't like, so we managed to ensure the sale went through without many issues and those issues that did come up were quickly resolved.Avoid them ..
