Great service need more staff especially at week ends
Lovely friendly and helpful staff who took time to explain everything well and even offered a drink after our hot walk from the ferry having been let down by easyJet and having to drive 1000 miles home.
Booked a car online. Get "confirmation" email and money has been taken from our payment card. Email says subject to availability... we NEED to know we have actually booked a car, not *maybe* if you feel like it.Called up and lady says no, nothing available but I can charge you more to go into an available premium model. I ask to cancel so she cancels and then tells me the money taken from the card can take a few days to be refunded.Why are you taking people's money unless you can actually confirm a booking?!? If you want your holiday / rental / whatever to go well, don't use this firm until they get their processes corrected. Also, I can refund my customers from my business instantly... why can't you?!?If you don't have an available car, just tell the customer on the website immediately, don't waste my time, take my money hoping I can be down-sold into a smaller car you might have. You've lost a customer and if anyone ever asks me about Europcar I will relay this story. Terrible service.You know what would have turned this from rubbish to excellent? The "premium" model car you tried to up-sell me into... provide THAT at the price we already agreed and you took from my card. "Sorry but we don't have the car you asked for so we are upgrading you" - would have been very good customer service.

Overall ...good...the staff on the telephones (particulary the Bulgarian guy!) are amazing...helpful and kind and efficient!
