Dealt with very efficiently, dropped car off and arranged follow on taxi in minutes. Down side; it was dark and the forecourt advertising sign for Enterprise was off (or not working) resulting in missing the entry access forcing to go around the one way system again
Hired a vehicle from Dover Enterprise for a day. Returned hire car to Heathrow as having purchased a new car( which was the purpose of the trip) and being unable to drive two cars, the hire vehicle was dropped off less than 9 hours after picking it up.. When taking the vehicle initially significant damage to one of the alloys was pointed out and we were assured that this was not a problem and that damage was only recorded on the body work and when over a certain size. In any case the enterprise representative at Heathrow pointed out the damaged alloy and stated that that it was considered to be recordable damage and therefore i was asked to sign to say that I'd acknowledged this was present when returning the vehicle (despite it being there that morning) I was reassured that doing so was not accepting responsibility for any damage.The next day I received a answer phone message telling me that 1,000 excess would be deducted from my credit which would later be refunded but minus the 200 deposit. To say i was fuming is an understatement. Apparently there were two large cuts to the front tyre which a) were not caused during the short time I was driving the vehicle and b) surely if this were the case we would have experienced a flat tyre. Regardless of any of the above the simple fact remains that I was not responsible for this alleged damage. And my reaction was not the sort you'd get from a guilty individual. Yet i have been charged a ridiculous amount of money for something I didn't do in the first place. The customer service and treatment received is nothing short of horrendous. I am a professional individual and generally diplomatic and fair I can probably count on one hand instances in the last 20 years that have led me to behave in any way other than reasonable. This being one of them. Not all of us are trying to "pull a fast one" and i have always been someone who takes responsibility for their actions. The treatment I have received is unacceptable and unfair. I certainly will not use enterprise again, not ever. I would rather walk. And for the price paid I could have had a chauffeur driven limo for 9 hours and it would have cost me less.Disappointed.I must add that since this time i have received a full refund from Enterprise so i was at least reimburst for my bad rental experience
