This surgery has always treated me very well. I really don't think it deserves the poor reviews it is getting.
Got worse as years have gone by,asked the other day to book an appointment but was told No as all the Doctors hadn't booked there holidays,Why they have to all book holidays all at the same time is beyond me,also only seen my doctor 4 times in 15 yrs so not sure if she is still alive,
There seems to be no system in place to make pre-book appointment you can only get a doctor's call on the day when you are working and have things to do your having to sit by a phone for hours when you just want to see a doctor in a month's time I don't understand why you have to wait to phone for hours or days as everyone is phoning you go in the surgery to save money on the phone to be told no appointments are made in the surgery you have a call daily does not make sense as all surgeries can make bookable appointments may have to move surgeries where you can see a doctor monthly with existing issues the surgery is over run and can not cope so patients have been let down you see people so distressed but you don't see that at st James surgery or any where in Dover
Been our family surgery for a few years and a vast improvement in quality of doctors and nurses over previous surgery. Would have given 4 stars, but the "overall GOOD" report from CQC (Care Quality Commission) this surgery received in 2015 has fallen to "overall NEEDS IMPROVEMENT" as of June 2018.
Absolutely appalling drs need retraining!! Tried to get a appointment for my 2yr old son but was told he didnt need to come to surgery and has a viral infection. He ended up being rushed to a&e a few hours later close to hypothermia and hours away from a coma! Do not take young children there all because I said he still seemed fine in himself and was told Im over reacting on how bad he is.
